Franklin County Recognizes National Recovery Month

The Franklin County Commissioners have proclaimed September National Recovery Month, joining local partners in recognizing individuals in recovery, the providers who support them and the families and advocates working throughout the community.

The county says Recovery Month is also intended to encourage conversations about substance use disorders, treatment and the resources available to residents. Local activities continue this week, including Friday’s Carnival of Care in Waynesboro.

MH/IDD/EI Advisory Board Meets Today

The Franklin/Fulton County Mental Health, Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities and Early Intervention Advisory Board is scheduled to meet this afternoon at the Human Services Building, 425 Franklin Farm Lane in Chambersburg.

The meeting is open to the public. The county asks anyone interested in attending to contact the MH/IDD/EI office.
