Route 30 • Greene Township

Route 30 Bridge Replacement Work Begins Oct. 5

Work is moving forward on replacement of the Route 30 bridge over Rocky Mountain Creek in Greene Township between Fayetteville and the Caledonia area.

Current construction information says shoulder reconstruction is scheduled to begin Monday, Oct. 5, with traffic shifts and flaggers expected as work gets underway.

The contract is reported at approximately $4.67 million. Later stages are expected to include additional lane shifts, barriers and a truck detour.

Franklin/Fulton Drug & Alcohol Survey Open Through Sept. 30

The Franklin/Fulton Drug and Alcohol Program is asking residents, families, people with lived experience, providers and community partners to complete a short anonymous survey.

Feedback will be used to identify local strengths, barriers and service needs as part of the program’s Treatment Needs Assessment.

Bike Night Has a New Location

Organizers say Friday’s Bike Night Chambersburg has moved from Lowe’s to the Hobby Lobby parking lot at 1695 Lincoln Way East.

The gathering remains scheduled for 8 to 10 p.m., with all bikes welcome. Organizers are asking riders not to use the Lowe’s lot.

Horseshoe Tournament at Post 606

Post 606 is advertising a Fall Brawl horseshoe tournament Saturday at 2090 Path Valley Road.

Registration is scheduled from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with horseshoes flying at 11 a.m.
