Route 30 Bridge Project Begins With Shoulder Work Oct. 5

Motorists traveling through eastern Franklin County should prepare for construction associated with replacement of the Route 30 bridge over Rocky Mountain Creek in Greene Township.

Franklin County says PennDOT will begin shoulder reconstruction Monday, Oct. 5. Weather permitting, traffic will shift through the work zone with flaggers assisting traffic as needed on weekdays.

Later stages are expected to include concrete barriers, additional traffic shifts and a truck detour using Route 997 and Route 233. Two 12-foot travel lanes are expected to remain open through the work zone.

The project includes shoulder reconstruction, bridge replacement, approach work, guiderail upgrades and other construction. Current information lists expected completion in November 2028.
