County officials highlighted the local Good Wolf Treatment Court program during a recognition ceremony this week in Chambersburg.
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Franklin County officials recognized May as Treatment Court Month during a ceremony this week highlighting the county’s Good Wolf Treatment Court program and the people involved in recovery and rehabilitation efforts across the area.
County commissioners joined Judge Jeremiah Zook, District Attorney Ian Brink, probation staff, treatment providers, and court administration officials during the recognition event held in Chambersburg.

According to Franklin County officials, the Good Wolf Treatment Court program began in 2017 in response to the opioid epidemic and focuses on helping eligible participants struggling with substance abuse and mental health challenges through supervision, treatment, and accountability instead of traditional incarceration alone.
Officials said the program currently works closely with probation officers, law enforcement agencies, treatment counselors, and the District Attorney’s Office to support recovery efforts while monitoring participant progress.
County leaders noted that more than 140 participants have entered the program since its launch, with dozens successfully completing the treatment court process.
Treatment courts have expanded across Pennsylvania and the United States in recent years as communities continue addressing addiction, recovery, and repeat offenses connected to substance abuse issues.
The recognition ceremony was held as part of national Treatment Court Month observances during May.
